| Large Group Storyteller |
The storyteller presents the bible story using props, costumes and dramatic flair. The script is provided and is approximately 15-20 minutes. All props and materials are provided. No need to gather them yourself. Preparation involves learning the script at home.
Time Commitment – About an hour and a half each Sunday for the school term and/or a summer session. Substitutes are allowed to fill in for you. |

| Small Group Leader |
| This volunteer shepherds a small group of preschoolers each week. The small group leader takes the story that has been presented by the storyteller and puts it into action through planned activities that reinforce the weekly bottom line. All materials are provided. Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours each Sunday for the school term and/or a summer session. Preparation involves reading the activities and weekly email from your area coordinator. Substitutes are allowed to fill in for you. |

| Prep Team |
Members of the prep team prepare and gather materials for Kids’ Cove small group activities. Instructions and a list of materials needed are included in the curriculum and a weekly email from the area coordinator. Tasks involve gathering props (most of which are here on site), making photocopies and cutting apart and gathering individual items for each child.
Time Commitment – This is a monthly rotational team serving about 2 hours during the week. You set your own hours anytime Monday-Thursday when the church is open. Everything should be ready by noon on Thursday prior to that Sunday’s lesson. |

| Snack Coordinator |
The person who serves in this position delivers snacks to the rooms. On Sunday mornings, they prepare the snacks for the preschool lesson and deliver them to the classroom. They also prepare the snacks for the “Lemonade Stand”. Snacks are provided by the church.
Time Commitment— 30 – 45 minutes on Sunday mornings. |

| Music Time |
This person or persons lead music at one of the three services. They may play an instrument and sing or use the CD player with our favorite songs and lead them with the CD. Most of the songs include hand and body motions to get the children more involved in worship through song.
Time Commitment: 1 hour each Sunday |

| Communications |
| The role of this person is to help with registration and to send out birthday, get-well cards, etc. to all our preschoolers. Time Commitment– This job can be done at home. You set your own time. Varies with how many cards need to be sent out each week. You are supplied with cards, postage, addresses and dates. |

| Registration |
| A portion of this team mans the Kids’ Cove Information Desk and directs guests to the appropriate class. They also field any questions about the ministry, serve as greeters and register guests and newcomers. Registration hosts stand at each of the classroom doors with a list of the children for that class. Time Commitment – This is a monthly rotational team and the frequency of rotation depends on the number of volunteers. Team members need to be in place by 7:45 a.m. for the first service, 9:15 a.m. for the second service and 10:45 a.m. for the third. |
