Ministries and Missionaries that we support

These are the mission efforts, ministries and missionaries outside the walls of Cove that we support with finances and/or other resources.  All of them have gone through a screening process and make annual reports to Cove.  We have confidence in their calling and effective use of resources and see them as primary partners in our work as a church.

The CARE Center

The CARE Center's mission is to offer hope for our neighbors in southeastern Madison County through resources that create self-sufficiency. The CARE Center is a 501c-3 non-profit that was started in 2000 to serve the residents of southeastern Madison County with emergency services.

As the ministry has grown, we have seen a need for community development and a focus on the children in the areas we serve. We currently reach over 300 children per week through CARE Center tutoring programs and just started a successful summer camp scholarship program.

Our hope through all that we do at The CARE Center is to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ with those we serve. We know that ultimately, our biggest success story is for someone to come to know Christ through one of our ministries

Ray & Lidia Zirkel

Our first international support went to the Zirkels in Costa Rica in 1998. This was also the location of our first international short term mission team deployment (1998). We have had further short term team activity more recently in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 supporting the current orphanage construction program.  Their covering agency is their home church.
